Abstract:
Obstructive Pulmonary Disease (COPD) is an umbrella term used to describe progressive lung diseases including emphysema, chronic bronchitis, and refractory (non-reversible) asthma. This disease is characterized by increasing breathlessness. Pulmonary rehabilitation programs can reduce anxiety in COPD patients. An exercise training program combined with education that included stress management techniques significantly reduced anxiety which improve the breathing pattern.
