Abstract:

Recurrent respiratory infections in children, particularly chronic bronchitis and recurrent cough-cold episodes, are a common pediatric concern worldwide. They often result from a combination of genetic predisposition, environmental factors, and immune susceptibility. Homeopathic treatment offers a holistic approach, focusing on constitutional care, immune modulation, and symptomatic relief, aiming to reduce recurrence and improve overall well-being. This case study presents a 6-year-old girl with a history of recurrent cold and cough since the age of 2, aggravated by early mornings, nights, and weather changes, with occasional dyspnea and difficulty in expectorating phlegm. The child was treated at Dr. Batras over a 12-month follow-up, there was marked improvement in cough, dyspnea, appetite, immunity, and general activity, with reduced dependence on allopathic medications.
This paper highlights the effectiveness of a constitutional homeopathic approach in pediatric recurrent respiratory disorders. It emphasizes the importance of individualized remedy selection based on mental, physical, and hereditary factors, demonstrating significant improvement in quality of life and reduced recurrence of infections.
